Job Title: Electrical Engineer (DEWA Approved)
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer with DEWA – SEWA approval to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and their application in the construction industry, along with a thorough knowledge of DEWA regulations and standards. This role will involve all phases of project delivery, from design and planning to construction and commissioning.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of electrical systems for various projects, including:
- Power distribution systems
- Lighting systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Security systems
- Building management systems
- Ensure compliance with all relevant DEWA regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation to DEWA for project approvals.
- Coordinate with DEWA inspectors and engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data and identify potential issues.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, submittals, and material selections.
- Conduct site meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical system issues that arise during construction.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, drawings, and as-built information.
- Assist with project cost control and scheduling.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical) to ensure project coordination and integration.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry in Dubai.
- DEWA – SEWA Approved Engineer certification is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of DEWA regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
